Swift data recovery for business critical files is imperative in the event of a crisis, but many companies may have unrealistic goals for a full recovery.
A recent survey carried out by Dimensional Research of IT and security professionals in the US and Canada revealed 90 per cent of respondents utilise several different data recovery tools when faced with data loss.
Furthermore, just seven per cent of the more than 450 individuals taking part in the research said they felt their business would be able to recover all its lost files from backup within a two-hour timeframe – the time required to ensure no long-term damage to a business is felt.
As a result, the majority of organisations could benefit from a focus on streamlined data recovery technologies.
Responding to the results, senior research analyst at Dimensional Research Diane Hagglund stated: “Although cloud-based backup and recovery is still early in adoption, the recovery market is ripe for innovation and cloud is the next frontier.”
It is wise to choose a data recovery company who has a track record in recovering from the type of data loss you have experienced.
