Explaining virtual infrastructure protection

Companies continue to invest in the latest IT infrastructure and this poses a number of issues when it comes to ensuring the proper protection for sensitive consumer and business information.

Ian McChord, product director at Datto – a Connecticut-based business continuity solutions provider – told MSPMentor that with innovation in virtual IT comes a risk that the pace of development will exceed the proper level of security.

“When it comes to data protection and seamless continuity, the solution must to be able to adapt to virtual infrastructure, as well as support existing or legacy systems,” he argued.

Failure to do this could result in an increased likelihood of security breaches, while data recovery services could be required in instances where files are lost due to hacking or human error.

Developing versatile cloud systems that are able to protect companies from downtime and data loss must therefore be the goal for companies right now.

It is wise to choose a data recovery company who has a track record in recovering from the type of data loss you have experienced.
