Businesses have been advised to invest in comprehensive data recovery solutions, as corporate information can be easily lost.
A new infographic published by iSkySoft revealed that, typically, six per cent of all business computers will suffer some form of data loss every year, meaning firms need to be prepared to recover this information as swiftly and as easily as possible.
According to iSkySoft’s findings, the most common causes of lost files include inadvertent deletion by staff members, overwriting, file system formatting issues, file system damage and hardware failure.
Overall, 29 per cent of all data loss incidents were shown to be as a result of human error.
It is therefore essential that companies train their staff in effective data management practices, while at the same time ensuring that, in the event of an accident, regular system backups can be drawn upon to recover lost data immediately.
When this is not a viable option, companies should consider contacting third-party recovery specialists to retrieve their lost data.
