Small businesses may not always have access to the same level of resources as their larger rivals, but this should not stop them from leveraging the major benefits of cloud storage and data archiving.
Indeed, Rahul Sharma wrote in his latest blog for Tech Cocktail that cloud infrastructure can open up a wide array of benefits for businesses of all sizes, with smaller firms perhaps having an easier time of implementing these systems than their bigger counterparts.
He highlighted the fact that synchronisation between IT departments and individual staff members’ computers can be significantly improved through the use of cloud IT infrastructure, while access to data and storage can be made that much easier when critical files are stored in this manner.
Furthermore, Mr Sharma argued the recoverability of information stored in the cloud can also be far greater than traditional network-based systems, as for smaller firms in particular, if an individual network system breaks, this can lead to significant periods of downtime and even data loss.
Do you know what data is stored on your company’s archives? Minimise risk by conducting a tape archive audit before archive tapes are recycled.
