Speaker Biographies Nick Burkill, partner at Dorsey & Whitney in London, is highly experienced in U.K. and international litigation. As a member of the Rule Committee appointed by the Lord Chancellor, his responsibilities have included the review of the amendments to the Practice Direction that have signalled the English Courts’ expectations of litigants on disclosure of electronic documents. Michael Taylor, legal consultant, is responsible for providing consultancy and advice with regards to the appropriate use of technology in U.K. practice. Michael helps lawyers, corporate clients and government agencies understand the legal and technical challenges that electronic evidence and information can produce in investigations or cases. Michael is a non-practising barrister. Tracey Stretton, legal consultant, advises lawyers and their clients on strategies for using technology effectively in legal practice. This increasingly involves the use of techniques and technologies that inject proportionality into the electronic disclosure process. Tracey helps clients identify best practice and the technology required to support it. She is a non-practicing solicitor, with a background in commercial litigation, and an expert in legal technology. Andrew Szczech, electronic evidence consultant, frequently provides advice and consultancy on the use of technology within legal processes, including the practicalities surrounding them, implications of the services associated with such methods, and scoping multi-regional, document intensive projects. Prior to Kroll Ontrack, Andrew spent three years within business process, content and electronic document management focused roles following his sixteen years in the IT industry. Robert Jones, consultant, provides clients with consultancy and training that assists them in the interrogation and management of document intensive investigations or cases. Robert helps national and international clients make the best use of the available technology to enhance their legal processes.
