Martin Carey
Managing Director, Legal Technologies

Martin Carey, Managing Director, has overall responsibility for the business development, sales and operations for Legal Technologies throughout the UK and Europe. He advises on the practicalities of technology within electronic and paper-based legal processes, particularly in scoping large, multi-regional complex projects. Martin consults directly with clients on technical advantages and challenges of electronic evidence in litigation, arbitration and regulatory matters.

Martin has a portfolio of achievements with more than 25 years of experience in software development, consultancy, implementation and management in the IT industry. He has consulted on IT infrastructure, document management, workflow and workgroup computing solutions at a number of leading global organisations. At Kroll Ontrack’s London office, Martin manages a team of over 100 people specialising in the areas of electronic and paper disclosure, computer forensics and courtroom services.

 

 

Tim Phillips
Sales Director, Legal Technologies

Tim Phillips, Sales Director for the UK Region, is responsible for the business development of the legal technologies business in the UK, including electronic and paper disclosure, computer forensics and courtroom services.  He also manages the growth and development of global accounts throughout both the UK and Europe.

Tim leads a team of experts including Legal, Electronic Evidence and Computer Forensics consultants to successfully secure business partnerships and channel relationships with leading law firms, in-house legal departments, compliance officers, regulators and government agencies.  Tim has over 20 years business development experience in the IT and telecommunications industries and previously worked as Business Development Director for telecoms company PCCW Global, where he built a global sales team and established operations in Australia.  

 

 

David Fenton
Operations Director, Legal Technologies

David Fenton joined Kroll Ontrack in September 2008 and currently serves as the Operations Director for Kroll Ontrack Legal Technologies. He is responsible for the delivery of electronic disclosure and computer forensics projects across the UK and Europe.

David has over 20 years of experience in leading project and service delivery organisations, and before joining Kroll Ontrack worked at number of technology providers including CSC Computer Sciences, IBM, Fortent and Sequent Inc in a range of service delivery and service product management roles within the Global and European remit.  David graduated from Imperial College London, with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Mathematics.

Kristin Nimsger, president, leads the company's more than 1,500 employees who work to produce more than $250 million in revenue through the sale of Legal Technologies, Data Recovery and Advanced Search services and software worldwide. In her role, Nimsger is responsible for advancing the strategic vision of Kroll Ontrack and growing the company's business lines through investments in organic growth and geographic expansion. Furthermore, she works with the broader Kroll organisation to continue to enhance the cooperation and collaboration between the Kroll family of businesses.

Among one of the nation's most knowledgeable legal technology experts, Nimsger previously served as the vice president of Legal Technologies for Kroll Ontrack. With the company since 2001, Nimsger is credited with overseeing the evolution of products and service offerings for the Legal Technologies business group.

Nimsger earned her J.D. cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, Minn., and received her B.A. in English/Communications from the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
