- Susan Knox, Legal Consultant, Kroll Ontrack
Ms Knox is a Legal Consultant at Kroll Ontrack in London. She consults with lawyers and their clients regarding the use of technology in connection with disputes, investigations and other matters. She has a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. (Hons) in German and Philosophy from the University of King’s College in Canada, and she has also studied at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität and Universität Regensburg in Germany. Ms. Knox is a New York attorney who spent eight years working in the New York office of Baker & McKenzie, primarily handling international disputes. She has represented clients in federal and state courts in the United States as well as in international arbitrations. In the context of her work in New York, Ms. Knox addressed complex discovery issues and worked extensively with online review tools. Ms. Knox is also a CEDR accredited mediator. In addition to her native English, she speaks Spanish, German and French.
- Tracey Stretton, Solicitor N/P, Consultant, Kroll Ontrack UK
Tracey Stretton is a non-practicing solicitor with a background in commercial litigation. She qualified in South Africa in 1995 and practiced there and in Australia, working on large, complex and document-heavy cases (construction, banking, fraud and insolvency). Following this, Ms Stretton spent nearly four years with international law firm, Lovells, as a litigation support lawyer, consulting to lawyers on the use of technology in litigation, including a number of high profile cases. She joined Kroll Ontrack in June 2004 with specific responsibility to advise lawyers, corporate clients and government agencies on the use of technology legal practice.
- Andrew Szczech, Electronic Evidence Consultant, Kroll Ontrack UK
As an Electronic Evidence Consultant, Andrew Szczech frequently provides advice and consultancy on the use of technology within legal processes, including the practicalities surrounding them, implications of the services associated with such methods, and scoping multi-regional, document intensive projects. He spent three years within business process, content and electronic document management focused roles following his sixteen years in the IT industry.
- Kristin M. Nimsger, Esq., Senior Director, Legal Technologies Product Line, Corporate headquarters
As the senior director of the Legal Technologies Product Line, Kristin Nimsger is responsible for the evolution of the products and service offerings of the e-evidence business group within Kroll Ontrack. Ms. Nimsger is a widely recognized expert on the subject of electronic evidence and is frequently called upon by journalists to comment on breaking news. She has spoken extensively with the media on electronic evidence topics, including appearances on Court TV, Fox News and national radio broadcasts and interviews in The New York Times and Chicago Tribune. From e-document preservation perils to e-discovery litigation tactics, Ms. Nimsger is among the nation’s most knowledgeable legal technology experts. Ms. Nimsger received her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minn., and her B.A. from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. She is admitted to the Bar in Minnesota.
- Alan E. Brill, CISSP, CFE, CIFI, Senior Managing Director, New Jersey office
With more than 25 years in the information security field, Alan Brill is recognized internationally as a leader in his field. Brill founded Kroll Ontrack's global high-technology Investigation practice. He has an international reputation in the areas of computer/communication security and technology crime investigation. At Kroll, his work has ranged from large-scale information security reviews for multi-billion dollar corporations, to criminal investigations of computer hackers, frauds on the Internet, identity theft, misappropriation of intellectual property, as well as telephone, cellular, and voicemail frauds. Prior to joining Kroll, he was Director of the Information Systems and Information Security Bureau of the New York Department of Investigation, where he served as the senior government official with responsibility for information security, and as a Deputy Inspector General in the New York City government. Mr Brill received his B.A. and MBA from New York University. He is also an honor graduate of both the United States Army Command and General Staff College and the National Defense University’s National Security Management Program.
- Michele C.S. Lange, Esq., Staff Attorney, Corporate headquarters
Michele C.S. Lange is a staff attorney in the Electronic Evidence Services group at Kroll Ontrack Inc. Ms. Lange tracks the evolving common and statutory law in the areas of electronic discovery and computer forensics. She also helps practicing attorneys integrate electronic discovery into their case strategy. Ms. Lange has published numerous articles and speaks regularly on the topics of electronic discovery, computer forensics, and technology’s role in the law. Most notably, her articles have appeared in the National Law Journal, New York Law Journal, and Corporate Counsel magazine, as well as on Law.com. Ms. Lange received her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School and her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. She is admitted to the Bar in Minnesota.
