Jason Yalen

European Customer Relationship Manager, Legal Technologies

Jason Yalen is a European Customer Relationship Manager at Kroll Ontrack.  In his role, Jason advises clients on the management of electronic evidence and the use of legal technology in matters ranging from internal investigations and EU competition matters to cross-border dispute resolution. Part of Jason’s remit within internal investigations is advising clients on the strategy and use of technology in proactive compliance audits across the EU and beyond.

Jason’s clients include law firms and corporate counsel.  He is often called upon for his significant depth, variety and volume of experience and is frequently consulted on the practicalities surrounding the management, processing and review of electronic evidence, particularly where issues of multi-jurisdictional data privacy and data protection are concerned.

A US-qualified lawyer with a JD degree from New York Law School and a BA from The Ohio State University, Jason has been based in London since 2006. Prior to joining Kroll Ontrack, Jason worked as an attorney in New York, assisting in the adjudication of the US$1.25 billion Swiss Banks settlement in re Holocaust Victim Assets Litigation in alliance with the Claims Resolution Tribunal in Zürich. His focus was on the analysis of entitlement of Holocaust-era heirs of the accounts to dormant assets at Swiss banks. His work involved extensive e-Discovery exposure, multilingual analysis of banking documents and claims, as well as drafting of legal awards and denials.

Jason also has significant experience within practice development for major international law firms.  Jason is fluent in Polish and German.
