Data Recovery Service Options

Ontrack® Data Recovery provides a flexible range of data recovery services designed to meet your organisation's needs for immediate recovery, the highest security, and the best engineers available to get your systems restored and back up and running.

Kroll Ontrack software and service technology solutions are available in 33 locations around the world. This means your organisation is never too far away from the data recovery expertise of Kroll Ontrack.

If your company's security policies do not have a provision for data recovery services and for company private information to leave your premises, Kroll Ontrack has other options available including on-site data recovery, Remote Data RecoveryTM, and client-attended recovery.

In-lab data recovery

By utilising our state-of-the-art data recovery lab and ISO-5/Class 100 cleanroom environment, we can recover your data from damaged hard drives, devices, media and environments. As the industry leader and the largest data recovery provider in the world, Kroll Ontrack can recover your deleted, corrupt, missing, or inaccessible data quickly and securely, all while providing you with unparalleled expertise and data recovery capabilities.

With the Freeval service, you can send in your damaged drive for a quick assessment and receive a free evaluation report in as little as four hours so you can then decide if you want to proceed with the recovery.

Please note: that the Freeval process is only available for single drive systems, external devices and removable media. All other media go through our traditional data recovery process which includes a detailed verified listing of all the recoverable files.

For more information on which process is right for you, please contact us.

On-site data recovery

Kroll Ontrack will provide a team of senior engineers to your site to work on your recovery. Available for these types of data recovery services are also the entire Kroll Ontrack software development team. This option is an emergency/24 hour service. For on-site data recovery, the storage device or system must be operational. Your organisation's needs may require on-site services.

Custom data recovery

The entire data recovery software development and quality assurance team of Kroll Ontrack, located in the UK, Europe, and the US, are available for custom software development. Known internally to Kroll Ontrack as Just-in-Time (JIT) development, these developers find emergency solutions to challenging data extraction and recovery problems. Custom software development has been used for proprietary storage systems, unique or specialized databases, and media storage migration processes.

Remote Data Recovery

Your data is recovered remotely without your computer or media ever leaving your premises. The connection can be made within or outside your network infrastructure as dictated by your IT security policies. The Kroll Ontrack patented Remote Data Recovery™ service employs RSA 256bit encryption for a point-to-point connection via an authorised computer on your site

By avoiding shipping your storage media, Remote Data Recovery from Ontrack Data Recovery is the fastest way to restore your missing or lost data. Learn more about Remote Data Recovery and how it works. For Remote Data Recovery, the storage device or system must be operational.

Client Attended Recovery

In the instance of highly stringent security requests, your IT staff may personally transport your data storage to one of our facilities and remain with it during the recovery process. In this way, the chain of custody for the data is always assured.

Kroll Ontrack can accommodate these requests when the appropriate non-disclosure agreements and insurance certificates are provided for the data guardian.

This option is only available for emergency/24 hour services.
