Everyone uses the cloud differently

Category: Data recovery

11 October, 2012

The cloud has a number of advantages, but one of the greatest things about big data is its flexibility.

Companies of different sizes use cloud computing in a different way.

For smaller businesses, online data management may help them to see trends in their data which they can then use to their competitive advantage.

Larger businesses or governmental sectors, on the other hand, may use big data as a data recovery service.

Handling so much data, much of it being highly confidential, would end in disaster was it to be lost. Therefore, companies of this size and level of security need to ensure that they have a quick and reliable data recovery system in place to limit the chances of catastrophe.

Pete Krueger, IT manager for the Spokane office of Coffman Engineers, says "the size of the business [affects] how that business utilizes cloud services".

Cloud services have something for every company.

Complex data recovery requires expertise. Speak to the data recovery industry pioneers at Kroll Ontrack to find out how we can help recover from any data loss type, system or cause.
