Big data means big jobs

With more and more companies moving to online data management, there are an increasing number of jobs being created in the big data field.

Experts predict that all businesses will be using cloud computing in a matter of years, which means that there is a necessity for skilled workers to assist and manage those deciding to make the shift.

"The next 50 years are going to be about data science, people who understand the semantics of data, how to visualize the data and present it to business people," data analytics specialist Jeremy Burton said.

There is a gap in the market for skilled workers who understand the complexities of data management.

Just as IT had a boost in the past 20 years, in terms of those studying it at university and training for jobs in the sector, many specialists have predicted that data analysis will have a similar increase.
