Some experts believe that the use of online data management could revolutionise the public sector.

Big data would allow the government to quickly and thoroughly analyse data and spot trends in their information.

This means that they would be able to predict when things may go wrong for an area and quickly attempt to remedy the problem before its arrival.

Just as with other businesses, big data would allow those in the public sector to better analyse information in terms of their customers.

Those in charge would then be able to assess more acutely what citizens need.

This would allow the government to make changes and cuts in certain areas, as well as pumping additional money into places that need extra help.
